Bridgestone's environmental manager kicks tires out of creeks, rivers and landfills
from Portland Business Journal
It didn't take much to convince Greer Tidwell to travel to Oregon for an environmental conference. Tidwell, director of environmental management for Nashville, Tennessee-based Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, is an avid fisherman and fan of the Deschutes and John Day rivers. So it's fitting that Tidwell will tell the story of how Bridgestone is developing tires that last longer using less material, its production innovations that halved the number of rejects and its other efforts.
