Wait gets longer for some school bus riders
from The Gaston Gazette
A shortage of school bus drivers is causing delays in transporting students to and from Gaston County, North Carolina, public schools. Students who live in the Cramerton area recently arrived late to school on two days, during which two drivers called in sick. Remaining drivers had to double-up on routes to cover the void, which caused the backup. Some 300 kids who ride the bus at Forestview High School sometimes have to wait up to 45 minutes after dismissal to catch the bus home.
