Rigell, US House Strengthen human trafficking laws
from U.S. House of Representatives
Recently, the House of Representatives passed, and Congressman Scott Rigell supported, 12 bipartisan anti-human trafficking bills. Collectively, these important pieces of legislation will strengthen current anti-trafficking laws, improve the tools available to law enforcement, identify and develop best practices to prevent human trafficking, open up additional resources for victims in recovery, and train government employees on how to properly detect and respond to human trafficking. The bills now go to the Senate for consideration.
