That's certainly the impression fugitive James Lawhorne gave to his captor during the recent 12-hour car ride from Lake Mary, Florida, to Huntsville, Alabama. The alleged scam artist had eluded authorities for more than a month since cutting off his ankle monitor and escaping over the Alabama state line. Thousands of tips had to be combed through before his Huntsville bondsman could pinpoint him to a small city in central Florida.
