The publishing industry has changed forever. Previously authors struggled to land publishing contracts. It usually took a year or two for an author's book to be acquired, and published. In a recent blog post, author and writing teacher Angela Booth suggested to authors that with self-publishing now mainstream, their potential is unlimited. They no longer need a publisher; they can act as their own publisher.
