DOE: Wind could supply 20 percent of US power by 2030
from Fuel Fix
Wind power could supply 20 percent of the country's electricity by 2030, up from 4.5 percent today, under a "ambitious but credible scenario" outlined in a new U.S. Department of Energy report published March 12. That target is based on assumptions that wind equipment costs will come down, fossil fuels costs be high and the federal government will enact policies to support wind.
