Donnelly: Drop in military suicides not good enough
from The Times of Northwest Indiana
Suicide among military personnel declined 9 percent last year, but U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., believes the 434 self-inflicted deaths mean lawmakers "still have a lot of work to do." "For the third straight year, we lost more service members to suicide than in combat," Donnelly said. "While suicide is a complex issue with no simple solutions, I believe it is a challenge we can — and must — address."
