How to explore Mission Trails Park
from The San Diego Union-Tribune
Kristoffer von Hassel came to Mission Trails Regional Park in San Carlos to see some wild animals. What the 6-year-old from Ocean Beach got was a wild time. In honor of Explore Mission Trails Day, there were live bees and honey samples at the San Diego Beekeeping Society's discovery station, live snakes and one alligator lizard at the EcoVivarium station, and the chance to break rocks at a tent devoted to geology. Throw in a guided nature walk and pony rides, and it was a big day in a very big park.
