Tomorrow, New Webinar on Muscle Cramps

Kevin Miller, PhD, AT, ATC, will be presenting "Myths and Misconceptions about Muscle Cramps" at 11 a.m. CT on May 27. This webinar will discuss five popular myths and misconceptions about exercise-associated muscle cramping: (1) dehydration causes EAMC; (2) drinking sports drinks can replace all the electrolytes athletes lose during exercise; (3) eating mustard, bananas or drinking pickle juice can replace electrolyte losses effectively and thus help prevent or treat muscle cramping; (4) muscle cramps are entirely physiological; and (5) all athletes are susceptible to cramping. Recent experimental research will be incorporated and discussed in the presentation to help clinicians better develop evidence-based treatment and prevention strategies for muscle cramping. more
