Apply For The Marylu McEwen Dissertation Of The Year Award
ACPA is now accepting applications for the 2015-16 Marylu McEwen Dissertation of the Year Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize a completed dissertation that demonstrates scholarly excellence and makes a substantial contribution to knowledge in the general field of student affairs / student services. It may be in any scholarly tradition or methodology and focus on any topic in the field. The Dissertation of the Year Award is named in honor of Dr. Marylu McEwen, Professor Emerita in the Student Affairs concentration with the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Special Education, at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The ACPA Foundation will recognize the winner with a cash award of $2,500 and a plaque during the 2016 ACPA Convention in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The recipient will also receive a complimentary registration to the Convention and a reserved educational session to present their work.
