Medina County sheriff: Two mysterious deaths are related
The day before the body of Tracy Lynn Lemley, 31, was set on fire in a cornfield, Medina County Sheriff Randy Brown said she was with Jeremy Carrico, 33. Nine days after a passer-by reported seeing the flames in the field off Highway 90, Brown said a farmer in Nueces County noticed a black plastic container in his field outside Corpus Christi. Brown said Carrico's body was stuffed inside the box.
The sheriff said their deaths are definitely related, given the couple were together the day before Lemley's body was discovered, and they'd both been dumped in fields about 150 miles apart. However, Brown is not yet willing to discuss how Lemley was killed. Nueces County investigators are awaiting the results of Carrico's autopsy.
