Jury still out on whether Ontario's full-day kindergarten program has paid off
from National Post
There are blue, red and yellow paint splotches on the floor of the airy upstairs hallway of Fraser Mustard Early Learning Academy. They are rubbed in so hard into the new vinyl tile it will take some heavy-duty cleaning to scrub them out. Any other school might see that as a problem, says principal Catherine Ure as one of the custodial staff pushes his cleaning cart by one recent afternoon. But there's an understanding at Fraser Mustard, where all 700 students are kindergartners: every corner is a place for play and learning.
