New report emphasizes need for improvement in preventive care

A recently released National Center for Health Statistics data brief details the results of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2011-2012. The NHANES survey is co-sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute of Dental Craniofacial Research. Data from the NHANES 2011-2012 indicates that approximately 91 percent of adult Americans between the ages of 20 and 64 have dental caries.
