Chinook helicopter complex at Garrison Petawawa named after First World War flying ace

The complex that houses the RCAF's Chinooks and related infrastructure at Garrison Petawawa will be named in honour of Major Andrew McKeever, a First World War flying ace from Ontario. McKeever was awarded the Military Cross for his total of 17 confirmed aerial victories on the Western front in support of the allies in the First World War, according to the Canadian Forces news release.
