But in a few years the 12-year-old may be able to fly down after experiencing small-craft flight for the first time in Charlie Murray's homemade RV-9 at the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association's COPA for Kids Day at Ontario's St. Thomas Municipal Airport. Held at airports across the country, it used to be called Young Eagles and the new moniker defies anyone to say it without thinking of Barry Manilow's 1978 disco hit.
