Secret flights recreated between US and Russia

Four pilots, two American and two Russian, landed in Edmonton, Alberta, while flying the Alaska-Siberia Air Route to recreate a secret mission to ferry planes to soviet allies during World War II. "It was a secret program at the time started by the United States in order to provide aid to our soviet allies in World War II, to deliver 8,000 military aircraft across the route," said Jeff Geer, founder and president of the Bravo 369 flight foundation and pilot of a T-6 Texan being flown from Great Falls, Montana to Moscow, Russia. more
