Many Silicon Valley tech giants have been releasing their diversity statistics lately, and the results are pretty lousy. African Americans make up just 2 percent of the workers at Yahoo, Facebook said in 2014 that it had only 81 African Americans among its 5,500 U.S. workers, and at Google, blacks and Hispanics each accounted for 4 percent of the company's non-technical workers — according to the Washington Post.
