Yelp names Diane Irvine as new chairwoman
from USA TODAY
Yelp's board of directors has named its first chairwoman. With the elevation of Diane Irvine, Yelp becomes one of the few major technology companies to put a woman in the role. PayPal co-founder and early Yelp investor Max Levchin stepped down as chairman in July after Yelp lowered its revenue guidance for the year and after word leaked that Yelp had, at least temporarily, shelved plans to consider a sale.
