Event planners should stop using Google Maps

Google maps are fixtures on most event websites. A new white paper from map publishing platform MapJam, however, argues that they shouldn't be. Titled "Your Marketing Location Funnel is Broken: Fix Your Marketing by Fixing Your Map," the white paper points out that Google maps are full of distractions — including competing events and venues, as well as negative reviews — that can tarnish your event's brand and even lure attendees away from it.
