Prep Sports Injuries: Simple Stretches Reducing Health Risks
Alarming new numbers show children are being injured at an increasing rate while playing sports. According to Johns Hopkins University, 3.5 million children age 14 and younger require treatment for sports-related injuries each year. But there is an easy way to help prevent these injuries. Reno's David Wise was able to bounce back from a serious knee injury to win Olympic gold at Sochi in the half-pipe. Hayley Doss of Las Vegas can relate. When she was a junior in high school, she cut sharply on the field and heard a pop in her knee during a soccer match in Dallas.
