Transportation plan proposes interstate upgrades
from The Tennessean
Nashville's downtown interstate loop and the commuter rail service between Davidson and Wilson counties could see upgrades if a proposed regional transportation plan is adopted. The Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization unveiled highlights of its updated regional transportation plan called Middle Tennessee Connected on Wednesday during its annual luncheon at Music City Center. In the draft stage, the plan is meant to be a comprehensive strategy on how to invest more than $8 billion in federal funds into the region's transportation projects and programs between 2016 and 2040.
