National Report Card on Health Care Wait Times
The Wait Time Alliance (WTA) released their tenth national report card on health-care wait times last week, citing the need to eliminate Code Gridlock in Canadian hospitals. Although key messages include modest wait time gains in certain provinces, the COA supports the WTA calling on provincial and federal leaders to set national benchmarks beyond the 2004 initiative that targeted only five procedures, including the sole orthopaedic measure of T2 for hip and knee replacement.
