Study: Rise in kidney stones in teens a cause for concern

A growing number of teens, women and blacks are being diagnosed with kidney stones, and the trend is cause for alarm, researchers report. Historically, middle-aged white men have been most likely to develop the painful condition, which involves small, hard mineral deposits that form in the kidneys, often when urine becomes concentrated.
