Supreme Court to decide if service advisers must be paid overtime
from Crain News Service via Tire Business
The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a dispute over whether automotive service advisers must be paid overtime. Arguments before the court are expected this spring. The issue arose when five service advisers sued Mercedes-Benz of Encino, California, for violation of overtime pay requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The dealership has served customers in the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles areas for some 50 years.
