States' ability to comply with federal regulations scrutinized

The U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee is investigating whether the EPA is considering adequately the "unique interests" of states in its regulatory process. EPW Chairman James Inhofe, R-Oklahoma, has sought input from state regulators on how they are "able to manage competing deadlines and resources to meet multiple EPA actions."
