Georgia dental hygienist bill advances, with FTC support
A bill that would allow Georgia dental hygienists to provide preventive care without the direct supervision of a dentist appears headed for legislative approval, after it was approved Feb. 16 by the state's House of Representative's Health and Human Services Committee. The bill, HB 684, received a boost from the Federal Trade Commission, which stated Feb. 1 the measure would "particularly benefit underserved populations with limited access to preventive care."
