from MedPage Today

The prevalence of obesity among adults in the U.S. passed 30 percent for this first time ever last year, according to new numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That 30.4 percent figure is up from 29.8 percent in 2014. Obesity was defined as a body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or more. The latest numbers, posted on the CDC website, were taken from an early release of findings from January to September of the National Health Interview Survey. more
