How is flooding affecting schools?
from The News Star
Northeastern Louisiana schools have been closed for days while the area contends with heavy rainfall and flooding. Some had leaks in the ceiling and two reportedly had water that has since been cleared. Transportation is the major challenge for most districts. Superintendents are optimistic that classes can resume, albeit with alternate bus routes in some cases. Ouachita Parish Schools Superintendent Don Coker said Lenwil Elementary and West Monroe High School had some water in the buildings that has since been cleared.
