Connecticut to EPA: 'Upwind states' still polluting us
from Connecticut Post
Connecticut says air pollution from nine "upwind states" is continuing to mess up its air and it's time for the federal EPA to do something about it. In a letter to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy, Connecticut and eight other Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states say they have spent tens of billions of dollars to reduce their emissions. Most of the pollution in Connecticut is blown here from such states as the Midwest and some southern states. That's created high ozone levels, especially during the summer.
