Recapping the NFAIS public access webinar (or when did we all start getting along?)
from PHI Perspectives
Times have certainly changed. Ten years ago I was part of an Elsevier team that took initial steps into Open Access (Elsevier has since undertaken many, much bolder initiatives). At that time the discourse around Open Access could veer towards vitriol. Then, Open Access evangelism and the laudable goal of increasing access to published research, could often get conflated with aspirations by some to level the publishing industry. Backs would get raised, discussions would devolve.
