Reverse suspension? School brings parents to class when students misbehave
Administrators at middle school in West Virginia are taking a unique approach to student discipline. Reports state that at Huntington East Middle School, nonviolent, nonverbally abusive behavior is punished by offering the troubled students' parent a "reverse suspension." Instead of sending the child home, the parent comes to school, spending an entire day by the child's side. It seems to work.
