Room for improvement in emergency surgery quality

from MedPage Today

Researchers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston examined more than 400,000 emergency surgical procedures over a 4-year period. Paul, who wrote an accompanying editorial, says in the video that the human costs of these emergency surgical procedures are "staggering," and that the study findings could be used to promote quality improvement in these surgeries. more
