It's a good time to step back and take stock of the recruiting industry. It's changing pretty rapidly. Hiring and developing great talent has always been one of the most important things a company can do. This is something that even contrarian figures like Steve Jobs can agree with. What's changing though, is the way that we hire. Job boards and untargeted cold emails might work well for entry level positions, but if you want to get top tier talent through the door, you need a new approach — you need to focus on candidate engagement.
