What Syracuse can learn from Portland, Maine about student transportation for all

A solution to Syracuse city schools' controversial busing policy might be found 400 miles away. A city councilor and transportation board president from Portland, Maine visited Syracuse Monday night to discuss the issue with about 40 people at Henninger High School. Ed Suslovic helped lead Portland's move from busing only students who live 2 miles from their school to providing universal bus passes to all high school students.
