DC student transportation planning neglects adults
from Education Watchdog
Families and schools bracing for the impact of a 23-day shutdown of some segments of the D.C. Metro in October can use a new tracking map — unless the students are adults. The Deputy Mayor for Education's office and the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority created the data tool to track entries and exits at train stations during students' morning commutes. The data, spanning 20 days in October 2015, could help predict the October shutdown’s impact for Metro's SafeTrack repairs.
