Canada's National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS) has been criticized by those who argue we are paying too high a price for the "made in Canada" option for replacing our Navy and Coast Guard fleets. Some even suggest we are paying five to eight times more than what foreign shipyards are charging for similar ships. In order to more precisely establish the "made in Canada" premium, this Vimy Paper first seeks guidance on warship costing.
