Report: Apple diversity numbers show slight progress

Apple's workforce diversified every so slightly in the past year, as the iPhone-maker tackles an employment issue confronting many technology companies. In its most recent diversity report released Wednesday, Apple revealed that its non-white workforce grew by a percentage point, although white employees increased by 2 percent to 56 percent. African-American employees went from 8 percent to 9 percent, Hispanics from 11 percent to 12 percent and Asians from 18 percent to 19 percent.
