The College Board

from The College Board

For 45 years, the College Board has offered free workshops throughout the country to make sure school counselors have the most up-to-date information on the topics you've told us are most relevant to your work. These counselor workshops are being offered again in 2016-2017, providing important information regarding the SAT Suite of Assessments, how score reports can help students improve their college readiness skills, free official SAT practice on Khan Academy and upcoming changes to the 2017-2018 FAFSA. Everything at the counselor workshops is designed with one goal in mind: to help you help your students on the road to college and career success.

In addition to counselor workshops, the College Board is offering SAT School-Day Implementation Workshops designed to enable participants to become familiar with the implementation processes for the state-wide administration of the SAT in spring 2017. This workshop is important for building Administrators, Counselors and Test Center Supervisors. Topics that will be covered include overview of implementation timeline, roles and responsibilities, registration process and other logistics, test security and accommodations for students with disabilities. Each workshop is three-hours with the SAT School-Day Workshop running in the afternoon, consecutively with Counselor workshop.

The attachment as the dates, registration links and locations of each training. With the recent announcement of SAT being used instead of PARCC at the high school this Spring, I'm sure many counselors have lots of questions and we want to be able to share information first hand.

You have been great sharing our information and keeping us in the loop on important events. Let me know if you have any specific questions and if there is anything our team can do to support your efforts in the future.
