A father-of-two who had a heart attack has become the first person in the UK to undergo a revolutionary procedure dubbed "the baked Alaska." Steve Jaggers had a heart attack on July 6 — despite considering himself fit and healthy. Like many patients, he underwent surgery to have a stent fitted to open up the blocked artery. But the 50-year-old was also given a new treatment to reduce the damage to his heart muscle — and the risk of heart failure.
