Textron Aviation departing Delaware airport

An aircraft company is closing its maintenance operations at Delaware's New Castle Airport — a move expected to result in as many as 50 layoffs. The News Journal of Wilmington reports that Textron Aviation, formerly Hawker Beechcraft, is the second major tenant to leave the state's largest civil airfield recently, after Frontier Airlines stopped offering commercial flights in June 2015.
