Greenville, South Carolina-based Iron Yard commits $40M for tech scholarships
from The Post and Courier
The Iron Yard is kicking in $40 million worth of free classes to a new technology scholarship fund, winning a shoutout from Vice President Joe Biden. The Greenville-based code school announced earlier this month that it was launching the Tech Opportunity Fund in hopes of increasing diversity in the industry by making it cheaper to get an education. It aims to eventually gather $100 million in scholarships for women and minorities.
