SIPs nailbase DOE study report ready for viewing: Highlights include 21% heating savings
U.S. Department of Energy's Building America Program Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's final report on the effectiveness and affordability of integrating Retrofit Insulated Panels (RIP) into a re-siding project is now available on the SIPA website.
The study looked at using RIP nailbase for an energy retrofit and siding upgrade on a two-story, seven-unit, multifamily building in Albany, New York (Climate Zone 5).
