Pilot unharmed in collision with deer
from Steinbach Online
The Operations Manager for Harv's Air in Steinbach says damage is estimated at $20,000 after one of their planes struck a deer a split second after landing. Adam Penner says the student pilot claims he did not see the deer and in fact he didn't know why the Cessna 152 plane came to a stop until he climbed out of the plane and saw the deer. The animal did not survive. Penner says the plane was travelling about 50 miles per hour at the time of impact.
