ERs with access to electronic records save patients time and money
from Internet Health Management
Time is of the essence when most patients come to the emergency room for treatment. And a new study from the University of Michigan School of Public Health reveals that faster access to shared electronic patient health records saves patients time — and money — when they do head to the emergency room. University of Michigan researchers spent a year studying the emergency room summaries of about 4,451 adult and pediatric visits.
