Antartica: Ayres Rock to Mildura
from Sky Polaris
As I write this, the Skypolaris RV-8 with Michel at the controls is about 1/2 of the way to Mildura, Australia.
Michel spent a short day at Ayres Rock and did not have any time to communicate much. He did say that he was looking for Kangaroos all along the route…
Mildura is a small city just northwest of Melbourne and is known for orange and grape growing. Many of the famous wineries in Australia get their grapes from this region.
The Sky Polaris flight is getting closer and closer to the continent of Antarctica.

Ed: Michel "Miguel" took off from Madrid on October 1st and is two days away from Hobbart, Tasmania where he will install the Canadian wheel/skis to continue on to Antarctica.
