White House urges states to ban employers from making non-compete agreements
The White House is asking states to ban non-compete agreements that it said hold back wages and entrepreneurship. The Obama Administration recently put out a call to action and set of best practices for states to reduce unnecessary non-compete agreements. The move is part of the president's April Executive Order directing states to increase competition for workers and consumers.
