Strict transport rules force schools to discontinue bus services
from Times of India
Private schools in city are discontinuing bus services as they are unable to meet the rules and regulations set by CBSE and state government. Already, 6 CBSE schools have discontinued bus service this year leaving the parents with no option but to look for city buses and autorickshaws to ferry their children to school everyday. School say that CBSE and state rules for school buses are strict, which have become a costly affair to comply. School principal being given the responsibility of students using school transport is another reason that schools are shying away from providing bus service.
