13. Former University of Waterloo prof gets award for his geological work in Grand River watershed

A former University of Waterloo professor will be recognized for his pioneering work in geology, including work to map the Grand River watershed. Paul Karrow was one of several people to receive this year's Watershed Award from the Grand River Conservation Authority. He created the university's geology department, now known as Earth and Environmental Sciences.
