Intel has committed $300 million to ensure that by 2020 its staff mirrors what it calls the market availability of the U.S. tech workforce. But even that kind of cash doesn't buy overnight success. In the tech company's latest mid-year diversity report released Aug. 10, most of Intel's key metrics remained flat or ticked up slightly despite concerted efforts in the past six months to target women and minorities in the hiring process.
