Paramedic instructor on students' heroic efforts to help crash victim
We were relatively close to the tail end of a nine hour road trip, driving back to Richmond, Kentucky, from Baltimore, Maryland, in a university SUV. I was the chaperone for a group of Eastern Kentucky University Paramedic Science students and recent graduates attending the EMS Today Conference & Expo. Just outside of Charleston, West Virginia, we found ourselves alongside what appeared to be a recent single vehicle collision.
